To manufacture high level integrated circuits on GaAs, and InP substrates in the 3 inch wafer fabrication clean room at Keysight Technologies Santa Rosa Ca. for the use in World Class Test and Measurement equipment. The main areas involve working in E2/E4 which includes a wet etch, gate etch and current testing station. Also included are the electroplating, mount/dismount and cleaning areas of the 3 inch wafer fab that provide several different platforms of integrated circuits.

This is a variable work schedule (VWS) where the employee works 4 days on, 4 days off, 3 days on, and 3 days off. The hours are 9am-9pm. The VWS follows the schedule of:

"Front Half Schedule"

Day Shift (starting): Monday-Wednesday and Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm


Responsibilities

  • Handles and mixes hazardous chemicals for the use of wet processing of oxide removal and GaAs/InP from wafer surfaces.
  • Performs detailed inspections with the use of microscope to determine complete and proper processing on several platforms
  • Iterative manual etching of wafers to reach current target with the use of a prober test station.
  • Performs electroplating on wafer surfaces, front and back, and uses profilometer to determine Au thickness.
  • Mounts wafers on Sapphire Slide to prepare them for backside processing and dismounts them with the use of solvent benches when backside processing is complete.
  • Supports engineering with manufacturing special tests and or new product introduction.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly qualification of BOE chemicals, Gate etch tanks, Matrix Ash tools.

Qualifications

  • Semiconductor processing experience a plus, but not necessary.
  • Must very detail oriented and have the ability to run precision equipment to comply with critical specifications and other requirements and have the ability to communicate with engineering in regards to anomalies
  • Ability to lean quickly and work precisely from written instructions regarding safety, chemical handling and wafer handling
  • Ability to be on standing and moving for long periods of time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent manual dexterity.
  • The ability to work in a cleanroom environment which requires specialized work clothing
  • Use of PC required specifically knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel and other supporting programs such as MS Word
  • Knowledge of the use of quality control systems and the ability to interpret control charts and other data analysis.
  • Ability to sustain a high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives and policies of the company and being comfortable learning new computer systems
  • Excellent work ethics in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills.
