The Technical Aide willassistthe technologists and nurses in the assigned areas. Duties may includeassistingthe reception area; performing billing and confirmation functions;assistingwith patient care activities; patient transport;assistwith darkroom and film management activities;monitoringfacilities maintenance; transportation of supplies and specimens; inventory management. These functions are performedin accordance withall applicable laws andregulationsandMedStarGeorgetown's philosophy, policies,procedures,and standards.

Primary Duties:

• Transports patients to and from the Radiology department ina timelyandappropriate manner.Aids the technologists and nurses with patient care and patient preparation activities.

• Transports materials and specimens ina timelyandappropriate manner. Performs reception activities to include telephone answering anddirecting ofcalls, scheduling, billing, and confirmation.

• Aids with darkroom and file room activities. Monitors the maintenance of the section by facilities. Assuresareais always clean and tidy.

• Performs designated inventory management. Exemplifies Guest and Staff Relations standards in all activities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Patient care experience preferred.
