POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Training, Standards & Compliance provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Boston Medical Center Health System Public Safety Department's training, professional standards, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and continuous quality improvement programs. Reporting to the Director of Public Safety, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating department-wide training, competency, policy, and performance improvement initiatives that support a highly skilled, professional, and service-oriented public safety workforce. The Manager ensures departmental compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with Public Safety leadership, clinical and administrative departments, Human Resources, Risk Management, Emergency Preparedness, and other system partners, this position leads initiatives that enhance workplace violence prevention, emergency preparedness, employee development, and organizational readiness across the health system. The Manager directly supervises the Public Safety & Workplace Violence Prevention Training Specialist and provides leadership and functional oversight to departmental instructors, Field Training Officers, and subject matter experts. The position also supports recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and succession planning to ensure the department maintains a highly qualified, mission-driven workforce. Compensation Range: $78,000.00- $113,000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
