The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a full-time Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will direct and provide leadership for the Department of Emergency Medicine Financial/Administration functions which include; planning and fiscal management/analysis of all departmental budgets, financial reporting to leadership, clinical and research budgets, performance monitoring, contract negotiations, forecasting/cash flow management, capital spending and oversee other professional and technical staff engaged in budgeting, purchasing and fiscal operations

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field. 5 years prior healthcare financial management in University setting Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, physician practice billing and collections/reimbursement; grantsmanship principles, Federal Regulations, Excellent independent judgement, decision making, communication, teaching and organizational skills. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, regulatory compliance awareness, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, CPA. Certified Research Administration and Pre/Post Award Experience
