Wabtec Now hiring Mechanical Assembler (Direct Hire) Fort Worth, TX Pay Rate: $27.61 per hour Schedules Available: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM Parts, Pieces, Paychecks -Time to Assemble Your Future. As an Assembler, you'll work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components while helping produce high-quality equipment in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Minimum 1 year of experience using electrical and/or pneumatic hand tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing instructions Basic mechanical aptitude and assembly experience preferred Job Duties Assemble locomotive and mining equipment components Install wiring harnesses and associated electrical components Install and connect piping, tubing, and plumbing systems Perform sub-assembly and final assembly operations Complete basic welding and tack welding tasks as required Assist with paint and finishing processes Move materials and components throughout the production area Operate hand, electric, and pneumatic tools safely Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Follow manufacturing specifications and work instructions Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes Support a safe, efficient, and organized work environment Physical Capabilities Lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds Work at heights up to 20 feet when required Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety shoes Work in an industrial manufacturing environment while maintaining safe work practices Preferred Qualifications Previous factory, manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse experience is preferred. Experience working on production lines or assembling mechanical, electrical, or consumer products is beneficial. Knowledge of quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Mechanical Assembler.
