The Licensing Quality Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting healthcare facility licensing, regulatory compliance, and project readiness across UC San Diego Health's multiple locations. This position primarily supports new construction, renovation, expansion, and space activation projects, serving as a regulatory resource from project planning and design through licensure and occupancy. Working collaboratively with Planning, Design & Construction, Facilities Management, Clinical Operations, and project stakeholders, the specialist provides regulatory guidance to help ensure healthcare facilities comply with applicable CDPH licensing requirements (Title 22), California Building Code (Title 24), CMS Conditions of Participation, and The Joint Commission standards. Responsibilities include participating in design reviews, evaluating construction and project documentation, coordinating licensing readiness activities, supporting regulatory submissions and surveys, identifying compliance risks, and facilitating timely licensure and occupancy of healthcare spaces. The specialist also develops education and resources to promote licensing readiness, monitors changes in healthcare licensing regulations and building codes, and provides consultation to support compliant project planning, successful regulatory approvals, and the safe activation of new or renovated healthcare environments. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $123,000 - $237,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $58.91 - $113.89 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
