Description

Weichert Co. is hiring a Director of Operations in Morris Plains, NJ. The Director of Operations is responsible for the development and execution of Weichert's strategic plan to improve profitability in Residential Real Estate. The position manages the Residential Real Estate's digital transformation and infrastructure development program. The Director of Operations is also responsible for providing operational support to the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Supports leadership in the implementation and execution of Weichert Residential Real Estate Company key initiatives.
  • Collaborates with executive-level management in the development and execution of a 3-year strategy to reduce operating expenses and support revenue growth which includes the following:
  • Development of segmented Sales Office and Sales Associate Model:

    • Marketing Support and Services (Sales Associate productivity)
    • Operational Support Services (Processing Manager)
    • Recruiting Support Services (Business Development)
    • Coaching & Development (MTS/Weichert University Training)


  • Streamlines and implements new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Responsible for the following digital transformation:

    • Transaction Management System:

      • SkySlope Digital Signature/Forms/Transaction Management System


    • BrokerSumo:

      • Commissions Platform for Co.
      • Onboarding and Royalty support for franchise


    • Indigo

      • AI automation of compliance and data entry


    • Residential/Sales Office Dashboard/Reports/Weichert Tools:

      • Defining, organization, rollout and training




  • Develops and supports the business rollout/implementation process of the technology infrastructure including the maintenance and ongoing evolution of Weichert systems.
  • Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of current operational processes and performance through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. Recommends solutions for improvement.
  • Defines, implements, revises and upholds operational policies, standards and guidelines for the organization.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives.
  • Provides Sale Office operational support such as project management, logistical support, interdepartmental coordination, communications related to the onboarding of experienced Sales Associates & Teams, opening new Sales Offices/Annex's, move of existing Sales Offices, and close/merge of Sales Offices.
  • Acts as the myWeichert subject matter expert liaison between Marketing, Communication and Public Relations Business Operations.
  • Works on special projects for Weichert Residential Real Estate such as E&O Insurance, MLS Fee, Weichert Advantage, Top 50 Event, and Digital Platform/Weichert Tools Clean up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and License Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license


Experience



  • Seven (7) or more years of experience managing multiple, large-scale company-wide projects
  • Previous related real estate experience preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices and techniques including complex cross-functional and cross-organizational projects
  • Broad range of knowledge of computers, peripherals, software and related office technology, as well as commonly installed business software (e.g., Microsoft Office as well as; Zoom, Skype and Teams.
  • Knowledge in Social Media Platforms, particularly Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, highly ethical manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions


The estimated annual rate for this position is up to $110,000/year. The rate of pay is dependent upon several factors including the candidate's relevant skills, education, work experience, job location/geographic region, and/or certifications.
