The Security Specialist - Construction Surveillance Technician supports secure facility construction, accreditation, and maintenance activities in accordance with DoD and Intelligence Community directives. The Specialist assists Government personnel with documentation, compliance processes, and physical security requirements for SCI and SAP facilities. Responsibilities include construction oversight, accreditation preparation, alarm system support, and global participation in SSAMP activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Security Specialist - Construction Surveillance Technician advise and assist the Government with guidance and documentation required to facilitate compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Security Specialist - Construction Surveillance Technician help maintain standards required by ICD 503 for information system protection and ICD 705 for secure room and facility construction at special access and SCI levels.
  • Advise on construction security requirements, prepare fixed facility checklists, and develop accreditation requests for Government review and processing.
  • Monitor facility accreditation requirements, process updates, and ensure approvals remain current and properly documented.
  • Assist with measures necessary for maintenance, testing, and verification of facility alarm systems and overall accreditation status.
  • Support obtaining and maintaining facility accreditation under the direction of designated Government personnel such as the SSO, PSO, or site security manager.
  • Security Specialist - Construction Surveillance Technician assist with developing construction security plans, SOPs, fixed facility checklists, and approval documentation required for SCI/SAP facility operations.
  • Support the development of facility security status reports and contribute to global SSAMP activities, including drafting memorandums recommending approval or disapproval of security construction documentation as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):



  • Knowledge of ICD 503, ICD 705, and DoD/IC facility construction, accreditation, and physical security criteria.
  • Ability to interpret secure facility requirements, assess construction security needs, and support accreditation documentation.
  • Skilled in preparing fixed facility checklists, developing status reports, and assisting with secure facility approval packages.
  • Ability to support alarm testing, accreditation maintenance, and secure facility compliance under Government direction.
  • Skilled in coordinating with Government personnel and supporting global SSAMP activities involving secure facility oversight.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705.



Minimum/General Experience:



  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience.



Minimum Education:



  • Master's Degree in relevant field; or a bachelor's degree and 4 additional years of relevant work experience.
