Summary of position/daily activities:

AEM is seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of web applications. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced developers to build and maintain solutions using .NET, Angular, and SQL Server, with opportunities to grow your skills across our full technology stack.

Key duties include:
  • Assist in designing, developing, and testing web applications
  • Write clean, maintainable code following team standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Participate in code reviews to both learn from others and contribute your own perspective
  • Document technical specifications and processes
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of applications across development, testing, and production environments
Basic qualifications/experience (the required qualifications which are critical to be considered for the position:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional or academic experience with full stack web development using at least one the following technologies: Angular, .NET, SQL Server, Python, AWS.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Git version control system.
  • Able to learn new technologies and skills quickly and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn and receptiveness to feedback.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a government public trust clearance.
Desired skills/certifications (any additional skills desired but not required to be considered for the position):
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
