Embedded Software Engineer Location: Manhattan Beach, CA - Candidates must currently reside in the Greater Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate within 30 days of offer acceptance. Work Environment: Onsite We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a high-performing aerospace engineering team supporting advanced flight, space, and ground systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing real-time embedded software in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for aerospace applications. * Develop software operating in resource-constrained environments with real-time performance requirements. * Implement complex data analysis, data routing, and control system algorithms. * Work with embedded processors, memory architectures, and I/O interfaces. * Develop procedural and object-oriented software using C/C++. * Support software throughout the full development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, integration, testing, and debugging. * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in a laboratory environment. * Ensure compliance with software engineering standards and best practices. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field. * 5+ years of professional software development experience. * Strong experience with C/C++ and object-oriented software development. * Experience working in RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS, RT-Linux, GH Integrity, Linux, or VxWorks. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced development lab environment. * Active Security Clearance or Top Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications * Experience across the software development lifecycle, including architecture, requirements, development, testing, and integration. * Experience working with laboratory and test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and network analyzers. * Experience supporting hardware validation and verification activities involving RF, digital, or mixed-signal systems. * Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or Spiral development methodologies.
