The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.

The Senior Director of Development, Arts & Science will develop, plan, manage, and implement strategies to increase unrestricted, restricted, and planned gifts for Arts & Science. Manage and maintain a strategic donor portfolio and cultivate, solicit, and close major gifts in the 6-figure to 9-figure range. Engage the highest levels of volunteers through activities such as the Arts & Science board, Dean's Advisory Council, staffing meetings, working with volunteer and school leadership to identify new prospects, coordinating engagement opportunities, developing major gift and transformational gift opportunities, and overseeing successful stewardship planning. Drive cross-function alignment with other UDAR fundraisers to maximize philanthropic activity and develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies. Develop strong relationships within Arts & Science and lead fundraising efforts that maximize impact and champion the University's mission and values. Serve as a primary liaison to Arts & Science academic units.
