Olivet Academyseeks Secondary/High School Chemistry Teacher (Amenia, NY) to dev & implement lesson plans aligned w/ state academic standards & school curriculum for HS Chemistry courses. Deliver classroom & lab-based instruction in general chem & related scientific topics in a secondary HS setting. Perform related teaching & classroom mgmt duties customary for secondary school Chemistry Teachers. Provide lab safety instruction & enforce safety procedures in accordance w/ school & state regs. Design, conduct, & supervise lab experiments, ensuring compliance w/ lab safety standards & proper handling of chemicals & scientific equip. Maintain lab inventory, equip, & instruct materials. Assess & eval student perform through quizzes, exams, lab reports, assign, & projects. Maintain accurate student records, incl grades & academic progress docs. Provide academic support & consultation to students during desig office hrs or sched support sessions. Prep students for sci fairs, academic competitions, & related academic exhibitions. Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conf, professional dev activities, & continuing edu programs. Collab w/ other faculty members to enhance curriculum dev and instructional practices.
