Summary: The Certified Pharmacy Technician in Supply Chain Distribution supports the accurate and efficient preparation, packaging, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and within a centralized pharmacy warehouse environment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains inventory accuracy, and contributes to the safe and timely delivery of medications to healthcare facilities and pharmacies.All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

This position qualifies for our Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Payment is made after six months, one year, and two years of employment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately select, label, and package medications according toorders fordistribution to hospitals and clinics within and/or affiliated with the health-system.
  2. Ensure all medications are stored, handled, and shipped in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  3. Receive, verify, and stock incoming pharmaceutical products and supplies.
  4. Conduct routine inventory counts, monitors stock levels, and assistwith cycle counts and expiration date management.
  5. Maintainaccurate records of drug movements and inventory transactions in the warehouse inventory management system and other applicable softwares.
  6. Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy, properpackaging andlabeling, and appropriate storage conditions.
  7. Assist in the preparation of repackaging medications (non-sterile products, oral, topical, etc.).
  8. Maintain clenliness and organization of the warehouse work areas.
  9. Work closely withpharmacy technicians,pharmacists, andpharmacy leadership, to coordinate workflow and resolve issueswhile maintaining a high standard of service.
  10. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries or requests from customers, healthcare providers, and internal departments.
  11. Assist with training of new employees, educating them in job-specific functions.
  12. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
  13. Participate in audits and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Education Requirements:
* None required as long as other position qualifications are met. Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred. Current enrollment in PharmD program if working as a registered pharmacy intern with NC Board of Pharmacy.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Registration as a technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program. If currently enrolled, an NCBOP Pharmacy Intern registration may be accepted.
*CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program; if enrolled, this can be waived for the duration of the PharmD program.
Professional Experience Requirements:


  • Prior pharmacy technician experience.

  • Proficient inwarehouse managementsystems and basic computer applications (e.g., MicrosoftOffice,Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical storage and shipping requirements (e.g., cold chain).

  • Experience with automated dispensing or packaging systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:


  • Requires standing for extended periods(mostofan8-hourshift).

  • Must be able to lift at least 40poundsrepeatedly throughouttheshift.

  • Must be able to reachoverheadtoaccessshelvedproducts.
