Director, Marketing Campaigns

Job Summary:

The Director, Marketing Campaigns leads the strategy, execution, and performance of Wiley's Assessments integrated marketing campaigns across all channels and global markets. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, this role sits within the assessment organization and leads the campaign management, creative, and campaign analytics teams. The Director owns the campaign strategy and management across all channels and agencies, budget and is accountable for key performance metrics. Working in close partnership with solution marketing, product and sales, the Director translates corporate objectives into campaign strategies that reach the right audiences with the right message at the right time. The role also advances Wiley's marketing technology, automation, and attribution capabilities so that campaign investment is measurable and continually optimized.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set and execute the enterprise campaign strategy all channels, aligning campaign goals to revenue and market expansion targets.

• Lead the campaign management, creative, and internal and agency teams

• Own the annual campaign budget and reporting cycle, allocating investment across channels based on measured performance and presenting results and forecasts to executive leadership.

• Direct customer acquisition and adoption, engagement, and conversion programs from audience targeting through lifecycle nurture.

• Advance marketing technology, automation, and attribution capabilities so that campaign spend and impact are measurable end to end.

• Partner with solution marketing, product, and sales leadership, and manage agency, vendor, and strategic partner relationships, to deliver coordinated go-to-market execution.

Required Qualifications:

Experience and education

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 10+ years of marketing campaign experience, including 3+ years leading and developing teams.

• Demonstrated experience owning multi-channel campaign programs with measurable revenue or pipeline outcomes.

• Experience managing annual campaign budgets, including forecasting, allocation, and reallocation decisions.

Technical skills

• Expert-level knowledge of integrated campaign strategy across digital, email, paid media, and events.

• Advanced proficiency with marketing automation platforms (for example Marketo, Eloqua, or HubSpot) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce.

• Expert knowledge of campaign analytics, attribution modeling, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and return on investment (ROI) analysis.

Leadership and communication skills

• Clear written and verbal communication, including experience presenting to executive audiences.

• Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing marketing teams.

• Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or other advanced degree in marketing or business.

• 3+ years of experience managing B2B and B2C campaigns across multiple sales channels.

• Experience in publishing, education, research, or another knowledge-driven industry.

• Experience leading a marketing technology migration or comparable operational transformation.

• Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) and advanced audience segmentation.
