Job Summary:

The eDiscovery Project Manager supports all discovery project management activities for the Firm. The position is responsible for coordinating and managing preservation, collection, processing, review, and production activities. The role works closely with attorneys, litigation support personnel, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient, defensible, and cost-effective eDiscovery operations.

Job Functions:

  • Follow documented eDiscovery procedures and contribute to the improvement of the same.
  • Contribute to the ongoing documentation of work related to each matter.
  • Implement and track the progress of statistically based document review strategies.
  • Quality check data and image files from vendors relative to production requirements.
  • Manage and track data preservation, collection, and eDiscovery processing activities.
  • Initiate and lead discussions regarding best practices and strategies for various eDiscovery projects.
  • Communicate with forensic and hosting vendors to procure and coordinate services on individual matters.
  • Coordinate paper projects related to printing and scanning.
  • Perform activities aimed at maintaining ongoing projects such as media tracking and matter archiving.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technologies and techniques employed in eDiscovery operations.
  • Utilize analytics, technology-assisted review, artificial intelligence, and related technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout the discovery lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver training programs relating to eDiscovery technology, workflows, and best practices for attorneys and staff.

Essential Competencies:
  • Works proactively with others to coordinate activities within a department or function of the Firm.
  • Anticipates needs in the context of eDiscovery collection, review, and processing activities.
  • Organizes, prioritizes assignments, and serves as a department liaison to ensure collaborative efforts result in meeting or exceeding goals and standards.
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments affecting the area of specialization.
  • Encourages innovative thinking and the exercise of sound judgment to achieve results.
Qualifications:
  • Prefer a minimum of five years' experience working in a paralegal or eDiscovery role in a law firm litigation environment.
  • Experienced in day-to-day communications with attorneys and law firm staff; demonstrated ability to respond to deadline situations in a litigation context.
  • Experienced with one or more leading eDiscovery platforms such as OpenText, Relativity, or DISCO.
  • Experience utilizing analytics, technology-assisted review, artificial intelligence, and related technologies within legal workflows.
  • Required software proficiencies: Microsoft Office, advanced Microsoft Excel, Windows file system, and text editing.
  • Familiarity with collection from cloud, enterprise, and collaboration sources, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, chat platforms, and mobile devices.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the salary range for this specific position at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity. $110,000 - $170,000
