Description

Job Title: Operations Manager

Department: Operations

Reports To: City Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Work Schedule: This role is required to work during normal business hours, with occasional weekend or after-hours work as needed.

Work Location: In-person at assigned Diamond Parking location

Position Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of assigned stations and/or facilities, ensuring customer satisfaction, schedule adherence, safety compliance, and financial performance. This role supports the City Manager and supervises site and area managers, providing leadership in process improvement, field operations, and revenue oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned:



  • Assist the City Manager with all aspects of city operations and assume responsibilities in their absence.
  • Oversee site and area managers to ensure efficient scheduling, coverage, and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Conduct audits to ensure accurate revenue collection and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Train associates in customer service, timekeeping, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are consistently met.
  • Communicate operational issues and recommendations promptly to the City Manager.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, landlords, and internal teams.
  • Monitor cleanliness, signage, and safety of field locations in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage operational expenses and support profitability across assigned locations.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable to meet processing deadlines.
  • Retain and expand the client/customer base.
  • Provide transportation for work duties, including cost of fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
  • Accurately process timecards and resolve payroll-related inquiries.
  • Participate in strategic planning processes and provide insights on improvement initiatives.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises one or more employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; and handling documentation related to discipline, pay adjustments, transfers, and promotions. Fosters a cooperative work environment that maximizes morale and productivity.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and policy documents. Able to communicate clearly with individuals and groups.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math, including ratios, percentages, and interpreting charts and graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense, follow instructions, and resolve routine problems involving concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and email. Familiarity with accounting software preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid state driver's license and proof of insurance.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, run, sit, climb, stoop, and kneel. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, including wet or humid weather, fumes, or airborne particles. Noise level is typically moderate to occasionally loud.
  • Other: Must be able to relocate or transfer to another facility with or without notice. Subject to internal audits. Noncompliance may result in disciplinary action, including termination.

The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting.
