The Student Services Center is home to the CECH-IT undergraduate academic advisors as well as student and academic support staff. Our professional staff meet with current and prospective students to develop academic plans and connect students to campus resources.

The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH-IT) is seeking a Director of Student Advising & Success to lead an energetic, multidisciplinary, student-centered, and collaborative team of student advisors and student success professionals.

Leadership priorities include helping CECH-IT graduate and undergraduate students by providing resources, reducing barriers to success, and guiding faculty and staff in supporting student academic and personal well-being. This position serves on the Dean's Executive Leadership Team and acts as a primary advocate for CECH-IT students and academic programs across the university.

Our students, faculty and staff work side-by-side witheducators, athletic directors, community wellness experts,information technologyand cybersecurity analysts, and local,stateand federal law enforcement officials.We value experiential learning asan important element of our degree programs. Current research and experiences are incorporated into every course to ensure our graduates are prepared to address the most urgent challenges of our society.

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work.

• Lead the strategic vision and daily operations of the SSC, ensuring high-quality, holistic undergraduate and graduatestudent support.
• Oversee a multi-functional team including undergraduate academic advising, graduate and undergraduate retention, mental health, career development, and data/processing functions.
• Serve on the Dean's leadership team and act as a key advisor for undergraduate and graduate student advising, student experience, and programmatic issues.
• Collaborate with faculty, school directors, and other university leaders to address student success needs.
• Liaison between the student, parent, college, student affairs and other appropriate business partners.
• Communicate and assist students, parents, and university partners to resolve questions and complex issues.
• Prepare reports, disseminate/interpret information, provide advice, deliver presentations, and ensure that advising programs and services comply with university policies and state/federal regulations.
• Manage the SSC budget, resource allocation, and staffing plans.
• Drive innovation in advising and student services, including piloting new initiatives.
• Represent the college at university committees, professional associations, and national conferences.
• Advocate for student and program needs at university, college, and program levels.
• Implement university and college policies and procedures in advising, student success, and student experience.
• Maintain and improve SSC's high student satisfaction ratings.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop SSC leadership team members.
• Represent the university and the college both internally and externally.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Master's Degree

• Seven (7) years of academic advising or student services leadership.
• Two (2) years supervision experience.

• Master's Degree in Higher Education or Student Affairs
• Seven (7) or more years of leadership experience in higher education.
• Familiarity working with a dynamic and varied student body.
• Experience working as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team.
