Automation Technician I / Manufacturing Automation Technician Advanced Assembly, Inc. - Madison, Wisconsin Full-Time \| 2nd Shift \| Monday-Thursday \| 2:45 PM-12:45 AM Starting Pay: $24-$26/hour, based on experience $1,500 Sign-On Bonus Advanced Assembly, Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician I to support automated equipment and manufacturing processes used in electronics and printed circuit board (PCB) assembly. This is an entry-level technical position responsible for monitoring production equipment, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, making adjustments to maintain product quality, and assisting experienced technicians with maintenance, repairs, and production activities. Essential Responsibilities Monitor automated manufacturing equipment during production Monitor product quality and adjust equipment as necessary to meet quality requirements Troubleshoot equipment and production issues Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and prototype activities Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure procedures are followed Maintain accurate production and equipment records Provide general technical and production support within the department Operate production equipment as needed to support workflow Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Programming, PC Repair, Automotive, CNC, or a related field preferred Equivalent relevant technical, manufacturing, mechanical, or equipment experience may be considered in lieu of a degree General knowledge of machinery and mechanical aptitude Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions Basic/intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to distinguish colors and fine circuit detail Helpful Experience Experience or training in the following areas may be relevant: Electronics manufacturing SMT / Surface Mount Technology PCB / printed circuit board assembly Manufacturing or production technician work Industrial maintenance CNC Automotive technology Robotics and automation Electromechanical equipment Machine operation and troubleshooting Schedule and Benefits Monday-Thursday 2:45 PM-12:45 AM Four-day workweek Three-day weekends $24-$26/hour based on experience $1,500 sign-on bonus Full-time benefits Advanced Assembly, Inc. is an electronics manufacturing services provider located in Madison's University Research Park.
