The Marketing Analyst will support the company's Client Solutions team for B2B marketing efforts. The role of the Marketing Analyst will research market conditions and consumer behaviors and craft compelling sales collateral to showcase our product portfolio for our advertising customers and prospects across various categories. In addition, the Marketing Analyst will lead the process to create integrated marketing solutions that generate revenue and leverage the company's robust portfolio of branded content offerings, print and online media, events, and promotions.
The role supports a broad portfolio of advertising categories and products and manages assigned co-branded marketing campaigns from initial planning through creative development, approvals, and final delivery. The Marketing Analyst also identifies and develops opportunities to improve team efficiency through AI-enabled tools, workflows, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Research leads, strategize branded content solutions, and work closely with our content division, and the sales team, to develop robust and thoughtful content pitches for existing and new clients
- Generate intel on other publishers' branded content offerings, capture examples and data on successful campaigns that brands have executed, and present findings to internal partners to inform our own branded content strategy
- Analyze the portfolio of categories and products to identify leads, challenges, opportunities, and trends. Compile findings in a shareable way and present to sales partners
- Conduct competitive analysis using media spending tools including Scarborough, comScore, and other available research platforms to support audience insights, category strategy, client proposals, and RFP responses.
- Develop B2B marketing materials including category and strategic decks, marketing one-sheets, and client proposals/RFPs
- Research consumer demographics, preferences, needs and buying habits and present findings in an easy-to- understand way
- Serve as primary sales contact for all category collateral and updates. Anticipate department needs and goals across an assigned portfolio of categories and products.
- Lead the design and content of B2B prospecting emails targeting assigned category advertisers
- Ideate creative solutions to advertisers' media and marketing challenges utilizing our full portfolio of offerings and present them in a compelling way
- Manage assigned co-branded marketing campaigns from planning through final delivery, including determining required assets with Sales, developing creative briefs, briefing agency partners, coordinating creative development and revisions, managing internal and external review and approval processes, and delivering approved creative to clients and partners.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, internal stakeholders, agency partners, and other external partners to ensure campaign requirements, timelines, deliverables, and approvals are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Identify opportunities to improve Client Solutions processes and workflows through the use of AI and other technology. Develop, test, and implement AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflows that streamline recurring work and improve team efficiency.
- Collaborates with colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes, contribute to project meetings by articulating progress and challenges and suggesting solutions
- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to challenges and actively seeks feedback to find new ways to improve.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications and 2+ years of prior marketing and/or advertising experience OR 4+ years of prior marketing and/or advertising experience
- Ability to develop customized branded content pitch decks, marketing presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials.
- Knowledge in branded content strategy and content creation process
- Experience supporting or coordinating integrated marketing, branded content, advertising, or co-branded campaigns through multiple stages of execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, categories, or client initiatives simultaneously while coordinating deliverables across internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of fundamental marketing principles, including digital, social, print, branded content, and integrated media.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to generate insights and recommendations from audience, market, competitive, and consumer data.
- Experience using audience measurement, competitive intelligence, media research, or similar tools to support marketing and sales strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present research findings, marketing recommendations, and project updates.
- Ability to learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve marketing processes, research, and workflow efficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, web-based research tools, databases, presentation software, and other business applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a publisher, agency, or experiential corporate setting
- Experience with Branded Content strategy, production and creation
- Experience coordinating advertising or co-branded campaigns with Sales, creative teams, agencies, clients, or external partners.
- Experience with social media marketing and social content creation and posting
- Experience with research tools like Google Analytics, Scarborough, ComScore or comparable audience and market research platforms.
- Experience in design and visual marketing.
- Experience using generative AI tools, automation, or AI-enabled workflows in a marketing or business environment.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements that increase team efficiency or streamline recurring work.

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $70,610 to $75,000 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A. Times Studios, LLC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
