Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations Support Specialist to support the successful execution of projects across a large, fast-paced retail store network. This position serves as a key resource for in-store execution teams, helping troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues that could otherwise delay completion.

The Operations Support Specialist will review issues submitted by internal and third-party field teams, assess the situation, identify the appropriate solution, and coordinate the necessary adjustments or resources to keep projects moving forward. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who is comfortable working through a high volume of requests, learning new processes quickly, and collaborating across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to project execution issues submitted by internal store teams and third-party labor partners.
  • Assess each issue, determine the appropriate resolution, and take action to support timely project completion.
  • Leverage established training materials, issue-resolution matrices, processes, and departmental knowledge to troubleshoot problems.
  • Coordinate necessary adjustments, information, materials, or other resources required by field teams.
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding issue status, next steps, and resolution.
  • Participate in training for upcoming projects to develop a strong understanding of project requirements prior to store execution.
  • Identify recurring or widespread issues and escalate them to the appropriate departmental partners for further investigation and resolution.
  • Track issues through completion and help minimize delays that could impact project timelines.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, store teams, and third-party partners to support efficient project execution.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple issues and priorities simultaneously.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working in an operational support environment where priorities can shift quickly. They are able to evaluate an issue, use available resources to determine the best next step, and communicate solutions clearly to field teams and business partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations support, project coordination, issue resolution, customer support, retail operations, or a related environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify practical solutions quickly.
  • Ability to learn project requirements, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with established procedures, training materials, issue matrices, and escalation processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
  • Retail, store operations, merchandising, project execution, or field support experience is a plus.
