HOLT Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a High School Intern! This internship is designed to be an entry-level position that will work with our Accounts Payable department. Under the direction and guidance of a Supervisor, the Intern will receive on-the-job training in order to learn and develop in all department functions. Department Finance and Bus Resources (FIN) Employment Type Internship Location San Antonio Address 5665 SE Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas, 78222 Open in Google Maps Workplace type Onsite Essential Functions Shadows Department functions and receives hands-on training Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly condition Receives reviews and coaching with the designated mentor Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Requires regular and punctual employee attendance Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Basic computer skills Good written and verbal communication skills Time management and organizational skills Basic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions Requirements Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent Must be in a relevant Business or Finance program Must be at least 16 years and a Junior or Senior in High School Physical Requirements: This position involves extended periods in a stationary position This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations Frequently moves product or equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina Work Environment: This job is generally performed in a warehouse environment; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating a computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
