We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Paralegal to join our Breach of Warranty legal team. In this role, you will manage a high-volume nationwide docket of breach of warranty claims. You will serve as a primary point of contact for pre-litigation demand letters, collaborating directly with outside counsel and legal teams to resolve matters efficiently. This position is currently fully remote, with the potential transition to a light hybrid schedule (1 day/week in Detroit or Warren) in the future. Flexible working hours accommodate schedules across both East and West Coast time zones.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Docket & Case Management: Manage a active nationwide portfolio of approximately 120 to 180 open breach of warranty cases. (Cases will be built up gradually during a ramp-up phase).
  • Claim Resolution: Target closing cases within 30 to 45 days through various resolution paths, including claim denials, cash settlements, vehicle repurchases, or closures due to inactivity.
  • Professional Communication: Handle day-to-day written correspondence and negotiations via email with outside attorneys and paralegals.
  • Data Tracking & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Excel to meticulously log, track, and manage all active cases and status updates.
  • Deadline & Diary Management: Maintain calendars and strict internal diary systems to ensure key dates and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Team Collaboration: Work independently on daily assignments while collaborating closely with Team Leads and fellow team members.
  • Qualifications & SkillsExcel Proficiency: Advanced/strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required, as all tracking and management are spreadsheet-driven.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional professional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Organization & Detail Orientation: Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads, multi-task, and stay organized under deadlines.
  • Prior Experience: Previous experience handling legal claims, pre-litigation files, or large case dockets is preferred but not required.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a remote environment, adapting to new tracking systems, and handling high volume efficiently.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience managing database information.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
  • Effective analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of motivation, initiative, and ownership of work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
