As a Security Officer Transitional Housing Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. You will provide compassionate customer service and clear communication while helping create a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide respectful customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures; and maintain awareness of activity throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
