Job Title: Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist (Travel MLS)

Assignment Length: 6+ Months

Location: 3801 U.S. Highway 98, Port St. Joe, FL 32456

Shift: Day Shift - Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Additional Schedule: Occasionally, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM every other Wednesday.

The Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is responsible for traveling to designated locations and performing routine medical laboratory testing to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.

  Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment.

  Analyze test results and experiments to ensure compliance with established specifications using specialized mechanical and electrical devices.

  Collect, analyze, and document test data to prepare reports using charts, graphs, and narratives.

  
  
• 
  

  Obtain specimens and perform cultivation, isolation, and identification of microorganisms for analysis.

  
  
• 
  

  Examine cells stained with dyes to identify abnormalities.

  
  
• 
  

  Consult with pathologists to determine final diagnoses when abnormal cells are identified.

  High School Diploma or GED required.

  Associate's degree in Medical Technology or relevant vocational training preferred.
