Environmental Specialist

As the EHS Specialist, you will help guide a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program for the PPG Cleveland facility. You will provide direction and training to provide a safe and healthful workplace. You will ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations to minimize all liabilities/risk. You will have close interaction with all levels of the manufacturing, technical and engineering organizations.

The EHS Specialist will report to the site EHS Manager. Come join our team!

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG environmental regulations and policies.
• Maintain compliance with a Title V and multiple smaller air permits.
• Manage water permits (Industrial and Stormwater), Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal) for both Large and Small Quantity Generator(s).
• Maintain emergency response and contingency plans.
• Compliance with ISO14001 requirements; EPCRA Reporting (SARA 312 and SARA 313) and, improving of the environmental management process.
• Participate in our facilities Emergency Response Teams (ERT).
• Develop leading indicators that improve sustainability metrics (energy, water, waste) and spill incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related Science.
• 3+ years' experience in the EHS field, preferred manufacturing or chemical setting.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, and Workers' Compensation).

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 with a possibility of an annual bonus up to 10% of base salary.
