JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Comparative Medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking Part Time Veterinary Technologists under the general direction of the veterinarians, performs a variety of specialized and complex medical treatments, research procedures, data collection, deliver and monitor anesthesia, assist with surgeries on research and laboratory animals. Uses independent judgment in assessing the need for veterinary intervention. Assists with planning and scheduling research and veterinary medical procedures. Demonstrates and trains others in proper techniques and use of experimental and medical equipment. Contributes to the maintenance of animal program compliance with federal animal and research regulations. The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:
