SUMMARY:

The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting leadership within Business Development, Capture, and Proposal Development/Submission across the company. This position will directly assist and support the Corporate Growth Leaders with activities pertaining to pipeline development, market and opportunity analysis, documentation and presentation, and contact engagement. To be successful in this position, the individual will likely possess aerospace and defense industry experience and have intimate knowledge of the business development or proposal development process. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Program Development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Support pipeline management (new and existing business)
  • Aid in identifying and tracking opportunities by maintaining opportunity roadmaps, and engaging in contact follow ups, opportunity analysis, and business to business relationships.
  • Research, planning, and documentation support.
  • Perform market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
  • Manage and update market research databases ensuring accuracy of current and future opportunities.
  • Assist in creation and implementation of Business Development strategies.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on opportunities including metrics, performance criteria, track competitor's activities in the market and manage pipeline inputs / outputs.
  • Support BD inputs to annual operational planning (AOP) forecast.
  • Tertiary responsibilities include integration of all customer relationship management (CRM) tools into the Corporate Business Development processes and procedures.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred, industry experience in lieu of a degree required.
  • Five to seven (5 - 7) years of aerospace and defense industry experience desired, three to five (3 - 5) years of aerospace and defense industry experience is required.
  • Familiarity with military training and simulation desired.
  • Experience with Department of Defense proposals as well as Federal Acquisition Regulation understanding.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Procurement Process, SAM.gov, FederalCompass.com, or GovWin.com preferred.
  • Understanding of capture management best practices, excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communications skills, interpersonal, problem-solving, and business acumen.
  • Must possess ability to administer several projects independently and concurrently, with ongoing changes in priority.
  • Must possess ability to think independently and work effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
