Production Systems Course Topics - The course will provide insight into designing and elements of executing a production system for diverse product sets. We will go over principles, method, and toolsets used in a multidisciplinary design of all aspects of a production system from design of a product to the delivery and sustainment of a product. Examples include a logistics system interacting with a manufacturing system, both interconnected with an information system, all converging on a physical site or facility that was designed to operate cooperatively to manufacture an end-product. You will be able to decompose the product and design intention to ensure manufacturing efficiency and producibility and drive results into the production system design.
