Job Description |
Event Technicians are needed to perform a variety of "backstage" tasks in support of HCC's Events & Conferencing.
Responsibilities include hands-on construction; painting; hanging, focusing, and running lights; setting up and running audio; building and painting props; and hanging fly system items for theatrical, musical, and dance performances. Technicians provide technical support for lectures, ceremonies, and conferences; and perform duties as assigned by the Technical Director for preparation of shows, performances, and strikes.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.

Preferred Qualifications |

General Weekly Work Schedule |
The work schedule will vary according to show requirements; day, evening, and weekend hours available.
The hours of part-time, as-needed employees are limited to a total of less than 500 hours in each fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). |
