Your role and responsibilities
This role involves collaborating with different teams and leaders at ABB while contributing to im-portant company initiatives. Each day, you will gain knowledge by performing tasks as directed by the rotation assignment manager. Your career aspirations will be supported through professional development opportunities such as in-person immersions, webinars, and mentorship programs. You will be mainly accountable for: *Participants will complete rotational program with the ABB Electrification business. *Contribute to innovative R&D efforts by developing and testing new engineering solutions, gaining practical experience with innovative technologies and advancing ABB's research. *Potential rotation areas include research & development, new product development, manufacturing support, product management and continuous improvement. Rotations will be in-person, some featuring a hybrid design. *Deliver the assigned tasks/projects within the rotation period. ABB's structured two-year R&D rotational program allows participants to explore four distinct roles to cultivate long-term career interests. Beginning with an orientation, the program offers global training and networking opportunities, supported by a dedicated program manager for personalized coaching. You'll receive in-depth technical training from experienced ABB scientists and engineers to accelerate your learning. Responsibilities include participating in formal training to enhance technical, professional and leadership skills, meeting project deadlines, and engaging in diverse social and team-building activities to expand your network within ABB. You will gain invaluable development from workshops and resources for a seamless transition from college to a thriving career.
Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree engineering program and graduating by June 2025.
- Relevant past internships or co-ops.
- Eager to discover opportunities across various regions of the US, with the possibility of inter-national relocation for each rotation. Relocation assistance is provided.
- Desire to learn and grow from a diverse set of experiences and people.
- A growth mindset focused on continual learning and improvement.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Holding valid US work authorization is required, and future sponsorship for an employment visa by ABB is not anticipated.
