The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at Columbia University is looking to hire Columbia University Student Research Workers in Dr. Chunhua Weng's lab. Students are expected to be competent with large language models and their development.

Responsibilities



  • Applicants will develop, test, and implement solutions to support health knowledge management and clinical evidence extraction and summarization.
  • Applicants will be working with a group of informatics researchers in collaborative projects.


The daily activities will include weekly meetings with Dr. Weng, discussions with other lab members and participation in lab meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields.

Other Requirements

Genuine interest in research, excellent communication skills, great work ethic, and a passion for AI in health applications.
