Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology

The Department of Kinesiology and Health is home to the Exercise Science undergraduate program, one of the most popular majors at Georgia State University. The Kinesiology and Health Department annually serves over 1000 graduate and undergraduate students in Exercise Science, Health and Physical Education, and Sports Administration, with a reputation for excellent teaching in a diverse student body. Faculty have a history of external funding from the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Education, corporations, and various private agencies and organizations, and collaborate with multiple organizations on and off the university campus. The department supports state-of-the-art research and teaching laboratories in biomechanics, applied physiology, psychology of physical activity, cardiovascular physiology, muscle biology, sports business, and physical education pedagogy.

The Department of Kinesiology and Health in the College of Education and Human Development at Georgia State University invites applications for a full-time, 10-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2025. This is a full-time academic year position. Candidates specializing in exercise science, applied physiology, or human performance are strongly encouraged to apply. The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in exercise physiology and related areas (2-2 teaching load, teaching summer courses may be available on an annual basis).
