YOUR IMPACT

The Tactical Asset Allocation Team is seeking a Senior Associate who will focus on monitoring market conditions, conducting in-depth research and generating actionable insights across various commodity sectors (energy, metals, agriculture, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in macroeconomic analysis, quantitative research, and an understanding of the commodities market.

Investment Strategy Group (ISG)

The Investment Strategy Group works with advisors and clients to help create an exceptional overall investment experience by ensuring that every client receives world-class investment advice that can help generate superior and consistent returns.

The Tactical Asset Allocation team (TAA) within ISG seeks to generate tactical alpha for clients' portfolios by investing across macro asset classes (equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities). In addition to its investment mandate, the TAA publishes several widely distributed reports and Outlooks each year, and is responsible for disseminating and communicating macro investment views to the firm's clients.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Conduct comprehensive research on commodity markets by analyzing price trends, market drivers, supply-demand dynamics, geopolitical factors, and macroeconomic indicators
  • Produce detailed research highlighting key findings and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant market news, regulatory changes, and innovations in the commodities space to inform tactical views
  • Utilize data analytics, quantitative models, and financial software tools to assess market conditions and generate predictive insights


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or CFA) is a plus
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in investment research, trading, or related roles within asset management or financial services with a focus on commodity research
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, including supply chain dynamics, futures, and derivatives
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling using Excel and Python, Matlab, R, or related language
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Passion for markets and investing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Attention to detail, patience, and ability to multi-task under pressure
  • SIE, Series 7 and 63 required (must be obtained within three months of employment)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
