Position Overview
The Construction Security Monitor supports construction security operations by controlling access to the site, monitoring construction personnel and activities, and ensuring compliance with established security procedures. This role requires continuous observation of construction processes, documentation of daily activities, and reporting of security incidents and anomalies. The Construction Monitor operates within an active construction environment and is responsible for maintaining security awareness and enforcing site procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control access to the construction site
  • Screen and escort personnel, materials, and tools entering or leaving the site
  • Monitor and observe construction workers during assigned tasks
  • Maintain control of construction materials within or moving to/from the site
  • Produce daily logs of all activities and events
  • Report all security-related incidents to the SSM
  • Report anomalies and counterintelligence-related incidents immediately and without delay

Required Qualifications
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph or FS Polygraph required
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
Required Experience
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong report writing skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret documents and accurately apply rules and procedures
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout secure facilities for extended periods of time
  • Position may require occasional lifting and/or movement of moderate amounts of weight, depending on assignment requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years of similar experience
  • High level of accountability


Work Schedule & Conditions
  • Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0600-1430
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Flexibility Requirements:
    • Employees will be assigned to a primary site but may be required to temporarily support a secondary site
    • Secondary site is within 26 miles of the primary site
    • Temporary reassignment is intended to maintain long-term employment continuity

Compensation& Benefits
  • Local Rate: $ 41.00 per hour
  • Benefits: Health, 401(k), PTO & Sick Leave, Paid Holidays
    • Benefits transfer between contracts as an IDS employee
