Ingersoll Rand's Internal Audit Department is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's global internal control environment, assessing compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements, and providing consultative support to address emerging risks and strategic initiatives across all business groups. As an auditor within Ingersoll Rand's Internal Audit Department, the Internal Audit Intern
is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution of internal audits, SOX walkthroughs and testing, and special projects and other audit activities under the supervision of the Americas Audit Manager, located in the United States.


























ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:























  1. Assist in the internal audit project preparation and planning activities to target key risk areas.












  2. Participate in internal audit fieldwork for business process reviews and assessments including operational processes, internal controls, SOX walkthroughs and testing.












  3. Prepare work papers to clearly support the audit conclusion in accordance with internal audit standards and draft audit reports or other deliverables in a timely manner.












  4. Assist in follow-up, remediation, and mitigation on audit findings or SOX deficiencies.












  5. Interface with external auditors as needed to provide information and documentation to support audit and management testing activities.

















A project will be assigned that will be worked on throughout the internship. At the end of the internship there will be a project presentation to walk through what was learned and the end product.






















MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS




















  1. Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.











  2. Experience using data analysis/robotics tools, a plus.











  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams.











  4. Some domestic travel may be requested.











  5. Must be fluent in English.
    Additional language skills are a plus.
