Why do we need you ?

Reporting to the Creative Operations Project Manager, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing the Promotional Collateral program, supporting CertainTeed branded premium items for use across the North American business. This program drives relationship-building with direct and indirect customers and influencers, and builds and manages a collection of high quality, brand-consistent, sustainably-minded premium items.

The position oversees portfolio management of a large collection of items, ensuring the correct inventory, mix, and price for use in company events, trade shows, customer ordering portals, and for employee use.

  • Own and manage the branded promotional collateral program.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, within the Corporate Marketing team and across the CertainTeed and Saint-Gobain businesses.
  • Supports CertainTeed brand management, contributing to CertainTeed's leadership position in sustainability, driving progress in decarbonization of the built environment, reduced construction waste and the acceleration of circular economy, renewable energy usage, and reduced use and reliance on natural resources. In addition, supports CertainTeed's position as the largest provider of construction solutions and systems in North America, and a leader in providing superior customer service.
  • Collaborates effectively with other members of the Corporate Marketing team to influence adjacent bodies of work such a digital customer experience, loyalty, and strategic business development programs with a meaningful brand experience.
  • Manages day to day interactions with Contractors and Agency partners to achieve desired marketing objectives.
  • Supports trade show & events team in the execution of workshops and events that engage and influence a wide base of CertainTeed employees with the brand.
  • Supports the activation for key branded customer events, including trade shows and industry events.
  • Supports BUs, including sales and product marketing as needed in the execution of key internal and external employee engagement initiatives, to leverage these as brand reinforcement points.
  • Supports the centralized CertainTeed branded physical collateral program, enabling easy access and utilization across the company for business and brand experience purposes.
  • Supports projects with a measurement orientation, regularly capturing and reporting on key metrics that indicate performance.
  • Embodies a commitment to service, meeting, maintaining, and exceeding the service-level agreement (SLA) between Corporate Marketing and BU business clients. Utilizes tools and platforms to maintain regular communication on progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure stakeholder satisfaction throughout the planning and execution of projects and deliverables.

To make sure nothing is forgotten

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or similar field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 - 5+ years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated success in B2B and B2C industries required.
  • Experience in the building products or durables preferred, as is experience in account management in an agency setting, and to have managed agencies/partnerships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner.
  • Demonstrated success developing and working with digital tools, and an understanding of digital customer experience strategy.
  • Able to collaborate effectively; works well with others and is considered a true team player who works to promote the overall organization. Approaches conflicts as opportunities; understands others quickly; can find common ground without authority.
  • A self-starter with a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, commitment to driving results, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a highly collaborative environment; must have a creative approach to problem solving, and the ability to take advantage of emerging opportunities while galvanizing broad support.
  • Strong project and process management skills, including demonstrated ability to manage complex and time sensitive projects effectively, collaboratively, and on-schedule.

  • Comfortable in the ambiguity of shifting and unknown strategic direction, and nimble to adapt strategy and execution to match business needs.
  • Committed to team and business achievement more than personal achievement, with demonstrated action to prioritize what is best for business versus individual achievements.
